New Install of SQL*Plus Instant Client Fails with SP2-750 when Trying to Start (Doc ID 333117.1)

New install of Oracle Instant Client version of sqlplus is failing when attempting to start.

Error 6 initializing SQL*Plus
Message file sp1<lang>.msb not found
SP2-0750: You may need to set ORACLE_HOME to your Oracle software directory

In this example, Instant_Client zip file is downloaded into:
/home/instantclient/

After unzip, sqlplus executable is found in:
/home/instantclient/instantclient10_1
