How to Switch Between Multicast and NamingService in Reports 10.1.2 (Doc ID 337619.1)

Goal

In Reports version 10.1.2, there are two distinct methods used by report servers to discover other report servers in the network :

1. multicast method, this is the default method used by report servers when iAS is initially installed.
2. namingService method

This document describes how to switch between these two methods. This document is valid for Reports version 10.1.2. For version 11g please refer to <Note:881712.1>. For version 12c, please refer to <Note:2205595.1>.
