OPMN Is Unable Stop an OC4J Instance - Forceful Shutdown is Required

Stopping the instance's components fails with the following error:


$opmnctl stopall

opmnctl: stopping opmn and all managed processes...
opmn id=ubbnwww1:6200
3 of 4 processes stopped.
ias-instance id=myinstance.myhost.com

Error --> Process (pid=17244)
time out while waiting for a managed process to stop
Log: /home/oracle/opmn/logs/OC4J~myOC4J~default_island~1
opmnctl: graceful stop of processes failed, trying forceful shutdown...


One of the OC4J instances failed to respond on a timely manner to the stop command and Oracle Process monitoring and Notification services (OPMN) issued a shutdown force command to terminate the instance.
