Usually, to open web pages or display Oracle reports output in Oracle Forms, the web.show_document() built-in is called. If the second argument in this call is '_blank' then Forms opens another browser window for displaying the web content.
But while you can open a browser window from Forms, you can't close it. Also opening a window with web.show_document() always shows the URL field, which you may not want users to see.
Is it possible to open an Internet Explorer browser window in Forms that can be closed from Forms if no longer needed, or when the Oracle Forms application is closed?
How can you request a web or Oracle Reports URL from Oracle Forms Services in a custom IE browser window, hiding the URL field and navigation buttons ?
