Opmn Fails to Start With Error - symbol nzdsi_initialize: referenced symbol not found (Doc ID 339347.1)

Symptoms

OPMN fails to start with the following errors:

ld.so.1: opmn: fatal: relocation error: file
ORACLE_HOME/lib32/libnnz10.so: symbol nzdsi_initialize: referenced symbol not found
ld.so.1: opmn: fatal: relocation error: file
ORACLE_HOME/lib32/libnnz10.so: symbol nzdsi_initialize: referenced symbol not found

 

Another variation shows OPMN failing with the error:

ld.so.1: opmn: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/lib/nss_dns.so.1: symbol res_sethostent: referenced symbol not found

Changes

Applied the latest Recommended Sun Solaris 8 Patch Cluster (October 2005).
