Configuring HTTP Server to Use SSL in Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2 - 10.1.3) (Doc ID 341904.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.3.5.0 [Release AS10gR2 to AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

To list the steps needed to configure Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) to use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) when installed with Oracle Application Server 10g R2 and R3

Scope

Oracle Application Server 10G Release 2 and 3 Web Administrators

This Note is part of a number of articles written for SSL Configuration in Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2 - 10.1.3). Please read <Note 1281035.1> Master Note for SSL Configuration in Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2 - 10.1.3)

The assumption here is that Oracle Web Cache is not going to be used. If it is, then the SSL and certificate is usually configured within Oracle Web Cache. See <Note 342155.1> Configuring Web Cache with SSL in Oracle Application Server 10G Release 2 (10.1.2.X.X):

This article is to be used after reviewing the following Oracle Documentation:
Oracle Application Server 10g Security Guide 10g (10.1.2)
Oracle HTTP Server Administrator's Guide 10g (10.1.2)

For earlier or later versions of Application Server, please see:

<Note 1226933.1> Configuring Oracle HTTP Server to use SSL in Fusion Middleware 11g (11.1.1.X)
<Note:250532.1> Configuring Oracle HTTP Server to Use SSL in Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4.X.X)
