OutOfMemoryError: Unable To Create New Native Thread After Some Minutes Running (Doc ID 352945.1)

Last updated on APRIL 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Containers for J2EE - Version and later
Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version to [Release 9iAS to AS10gR3]
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The JVM running an OC4J component is working correctly since the moment of the last start up until around 20 minutes later, when it becomes non responsive to OPMN pings, which decides it needs to restart it as per its dead process detection algorithm.

This causes a JVM abrupt process termination , loosing session information and needing to reallocate all resources at the next restart.

There was a reconfiguration of the system to adapt some of the java-options for that specific OC4J instance.
