When you encounter a bad or corrupted persistent file, you must remove or rename the <reports_server>.dat file located in the $ORACLE_HOME/reports/server directory and restart the Reports Server to recover.
However, this loses all the information for scheduled jobs, in addition to past jobs.
Is there a way to recover the scheduled jobs?
To resolve the following error due to corrupt .dat file:
REP-51002 cannot bind to reports server.
the <reports_server>.dat file is removed, and Reports Server is restarted.
