How to Set the KeepAlive Parameter for OC4J Standalone (Doc ID 357059.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Containers for J2EE - Version 9.0.4.0.0 to 10.1.3.5.0 [Release AS10g to AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In an Oracle Application Server installation, the HTTP session "keep-alive" feature can be enabled/disabled in the $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf file by using KeepAlive eg. KeepAlive On.

Considering that StandAlone OC4J does not really have the Oracle HTTP Server (Apache) as a part of it, KeepAlive cannot be configured in the same way as above.

This Note explains how to configure this setting for a Standalone OC4J server.
