Goal

This document lists known issues specific to applying the Oracle Database 10.1.0.5 Patch Set to an Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2) home. This Patch Set is supported and may be required on all Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.x) homes for an update of Client and/or Server files installed in the home. Oracle Application Server Patch Sets and Critical Patch Updates may require the Oracle Database 10.1.0.5 Patchset as a pre-requisite.

Note: Oracle Oracle products that install a home based on Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2) may also require the 10.1.0.5 Patchset to be applied, and the same issues would likely occur in that environment. (e.g., Oracle Collaboration Suite, Oracle Grid Control).
