"Error: The portlet could not be contacted" Accessing a Portlet From a Remote Web Provider

ServerA - http://serverA:8888/jpdk/providers/sample (Provider deployed here).
ServerB - Contains Oracle Portal 10.1.4.0.0 with JPDK samples provider (from server A) registered there.
Receiving "Error: The portlet could not be contacted" when accessing a portlet from the sample JPDK web providers that was deployed to server A using a URL from another server.
Following error is reported within the Portal application.log on Server B:
Attempting to user portlets from a remotely deployed JPDK provider.
