Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) Support Status and Alerts (Doc ID 329361.1)
ALERT: Premier Support Ends Dec 31 2011 for Oracle Fusion Middleware 10g 10.1.2 & 10.1.4 (Doc ID 1290974.1)

Symptoms

Logging out from Oracle Portal works fine the first time, but as soon as  the same browser window is used  to log in again, logging out fails with HTTP-404 errors.

The infrastructure HTTP Server error_log shows:

/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout HTTP-404 ORA-20005: The session context could not be restored because the session is marked as inactive.
ORA-06512: at "ORASSO.WPG_SESSION", line 161
ORA-06512: at line 22

There have been some cases where no error was reported in the infrastructure HTTP Server error_log.

Changes

The Oracle Application Server 10g was upgraded from 10.1.2.0.0. to a higher 10.1.2.x version. The Single Sign-On Server was configured for SSL before the upgrade.
