Unable to Login to Portal after Integrating COREid Access with Oracle SSO (Doc ID 370407.1)

Symptoms

Unable to login to Portal , after following the instructions given in the COREid Integration Guide for integrating Oracle
Application Server with COREid Access.

After providing the login credentials, gets "500 Internal Server Error" in the browser
Login to /pls/orasso works fine

ssoServer.log shows the following exception
