This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
After deploying a J2EE application, and mapping the J2EE-role to an OID security group all is working (ie: you can login with the users from this group), but when there is a change in OID (e.g. enter new grantees/permission/group entries), the container has to be stopped and started before the changes are available.
Otherwise, you have to wait up to 60 minutes before the changes are reflected in the system.
