Troubleshooting Note for the SSO Query Path URL (Doc ID 377092.1)

Goal

a. How to change the SSO Query Path URL in Portal 9.0.4 to 10.1.2.0.2 ?

This can be directly set in the Query Path URL prefix.

  1. Login to Portal Builder as administrator (orcladmin/ portal).
  2. Click on Administer TAB.
  3. Go to Services Portlet.
  4. Click on Global Settings link, click on SSO/OID Tab.
  5. Set the SSO Query path URL directly in the textbox, Click on Apply.

b. How to change the SSO Query Path URL in Portal 10.1.4.0.0 to 10.1.4.2 ?

This must be done manually as outlined in the steps below.

3. Getting Error:
Invalid SQL Statement passed to LOV (WWC-41233)
The system failed to process the HTTPS request to the SSO Server to retrieve the list of external
applications. (WWC-41780)

When trying to click on display the list of external applications. One of the possible causes for the behavior is the incorrect SSO QueryPath URL setting. (Issue can be seen from Portal Rel 10.1.2 and later)

4. Getting Error:

An unexpected error occurred: ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1568
ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out (WWC-43000)


When clicking on customize link for the External Application portlet, caused due to incorrect SSO QueryPath URL setting. (Issue can be seen from Portal Rel 9.0.2.3 and later)

5. Getting Error WWC-41417, WWC-41447 WWC-43000 When clicking on customize link for the External Application portlet, caused due to incorrect SSO QueryPath URL setting. (Issue can be seen from Portal Rel 3.0.9 and later)
