Symptoms

SSO login is currently working for one midtier access URL, e.g. http://midtier.oracle.com

Now midtier application access is using a virtualhost, e.g., http://vhost.oracle.com,

but when the site is accessed using the virtualhost URL and an attempt is made to authenticate with SSO, login fails with error:

Oracle SSO Failure - Unable to process request
Either the requested URL was not specified in terms of a fully-qualified host name or OHS single sign-on is incorrectly configured.
