403 Forbidden error configuring B2B interconnet with SSL (Doc ID 390401.1)

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 10.1.2.1 and later
Oracle B2B 10g (Business to Business) - Version 10.1.2.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

B2B Interconnect application works using HTTP but fails when using HTTPS.

Error received in the originator box when sending a document is:

Transport Error Code is OTA-HTTP-SEND-1006
StackTrace oracle.tip.transport.TransportException: [IPT_HttpSendHttpResponseError] HTTP response
error :Cannot establish proxy connection: 403 Forbidden.

Topology used is as follows:

b2bserver1 --- firewall --- HTTP Server 1 --- internet --- HTTP Server 2 --- firewall --- b2bserver2

HTTP Server 1 is configured as a proxy server for requests comming from b2bserver1 and going to the internet.
HTTP Server 2 is configured as a proxy server for requests comming from b2bserver2 and going to the internet.





Changes

HTTP Servers on the dmz ARE NOT using well known port numbers for SSL (443).
