Symptoms
Attempts to start or stop a process using "opmnctl" commands result in the following errors.
RCV: Permission denied
Communication error with the OPMN server local port.
Check the OPMN log files
You may see the following errors in :
- AS 10gR2 (10.1.2) / IDM 10gR3 (10.1.4) : ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/ons.log
- AS 10gR3 (10.1.3) : ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/opmn.log
- 11gR1 or 11gR2 (11.1.x): ORACLE_INSTANCE/diagnostics/logs/OPMN/opmn/opmn.log
