OWB Mapping Execution Via Sqlplus_exec_template.sql Fails With ORA-01017 (Doc ID 394732.1)

Using the sqlplus_exec_template.sql script, a mapping can be executed successfully when connected to the Unified Repository.

But when running the same mapping from the Target schema, it fails with the following error in the Runtime Logfile:

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

When running sqlplus_exec_template.sql from the Unified Repository, the mapping ends with exit=1.
When running sqlplus_exec_template.sql from the Target, the mapping ends with exit=3.
