On two of the four webservers following Microsoft Patches were installed:

- KB922760
- KB923980
- KB924270
- KB927978

After the installation of those patches, the webgate.dll and postgate.dll were physically deleted from the system. This caused the application being unreachable on these servers.

On the servers were the patches were not installed, there was no issue.

We were able to simulate this on our testenvironment. We just installed those four patches and rebooted the system.   After rebooting, the postgate.dll file and webgate.dll file were deleted

Webgates have been reinstalled and seems to be working again.

The filters are not deleted in the IIS, but the files postgate.dll and webgate.dll are deleted from the file system.   The IIS configuration has not been changed.   It only gives an error that the ISAPI filters could not been loaded (as they are no longer on the system).
