How to Configure OID Referential Integrity in 10gAS 10.1.2.2 (Doc ID 404838.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 10.1.2.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

To describe steps needed to configure OID referential integrity in 10gAS (10.1.2.2).

This document is specific to 10g AS/OID 10.1.2.2, it does not apply to any other OID release.

In OID releases prior to 10.1.2.2, referential integrity was not available as built-in functionality.

Referential integrity setup for 10.1.4 is described in the OID 10.1.4 documentation, see the Oracle Internet Directory Administrator's Guide 10g (10.1.4.0.1): Chapter 12 Referential Integrity.

Referential integrity setup for 11g is described in the OID 11g documentation, see the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Internet Directory 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) E10029-06: Chapter 22 Configuring Referential Integrity

Note: the files required to configure referential integrity are not included in the Application Server 10.1.2.3 patchset. If patchset 10.1.2.2 has not been applied prior to applying patchset 10.1.2.3 then the files referenced in this note will not exist.

See <Note:730360.1> 'Referential Integrity in Oracle Internet Directory Version 10.1.2.3' for how to obtain and install the files if they are missing in a 10.1.2.3 environment.
