XPATH extensions getFaultAsString and getFaultName missing In 10.1.3.1 (Doc ID 405211.1)

Last updated on MARCH 30, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle(R) BPEL Process Manager 10g - Version 10.1.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The XPath expressions getFaultAsString and getFaultName are not available in the 10.1.3.1 SOA release. These functions were available in the 10.1.2.0.2 installation and can be seen in the BPEL console under Manage BPEL Domain -> XPath Library. The same page in the 10.1.3.1 BPEL console is empty. It was possible to use these extensions in 10.1.2.0.2, but not in 10.1.3.1. The expressions are not available in either the 10.1.2.0.2 or the 10.1.3.1 JDeveloper releases and they have to be added manually to the BPEL file.
