'Chinese Characters' from 'Text Datasource' Displayed as 'Question Marks' (Doc ID 406547.1)

Symptoms

The reports are designed to use "Text" datasource that contains "Chinese characters" in the data. When the reports are executed, the Chinese characters fetched from the text datasource are displayed as "question marks" ("????") in the output. However, in the boilerplate text of the same outputs, the Chinese characters are perfect.
