Symptoms

When attempting to access a partner link to a Microsoft SQL Server database, the following error occurs:

ERROR
ORABPEL-11622 Caused by Exception [TOPLINK-4003]
oracle.toplink.exceptions.DatabaseException
Exception Description:
Configuration error. Class [com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver]
not found.

Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Import shared libraries for JDBC Driver.
  2. Modify server.xml with shared library name and path.
  3. Create a process which uses a partner link to access information in a SQL Server database.
  4. In Enterprise Manager, remove the JNDI entry for the SQL Server JDBC connection so that WSDL connection information is used.
  5. Test the process.
