Last updated on JULY 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Containers for J2EE - Version 10.1.3.1.0 to 10.1.3.5.0 [Release AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You have a J2EE application running in Oracle Containers for J2EE (OC4J) either standalone or as a component of Oracle Application Server and are seeing intermittent and unexpected application failures, for which you suspect the underlying cause may be related to incorrect session behavior (session data not being available for a valid session).

This issue can occur where you have a high number of web-applications defined, either multiple J2EE applications each with a single web module defined or a single J2EE application with multiple web-modules defined. It is also possible to encounter this issue if you have a low number of web-applications defined but you applications are using a high volume of cookies.
