During upgrade of infrastructure to, e.g. 10.1.2.2.0 or 10.1.2.3.0, Application Server (AS) Patchset, Oracle Internet Directory (OID) Patch configuration assistant (oidpatchca or OID Patch CA) or OIDCA fails.
The patchca.log shows error:
The default / original realm specified at install time was dc=mycompany,dc=com. Other containers, such as dc=us,dc-mycompany,dc=com appearing in the error above, were added later via setup of one-way sync integration with MS Active Directory (AD).
During LDAP based replica node installation as a replication site OID node, after submitting host and port parameters under "Specify Oracle Internet Directory Master Node" screen, an alert window pops up with:
"Unable to validate Identity Management Realm for this Oracle Internet Directory. Please verify that the OID Server, its database and listener are running, and you have entered the host name and non-ssl port number correctly, and there is a valid Identity Management Realm available."
