Configuring WNA with Server Chaining Management in IDM 10g (10.1.4) Windows (Doc ID 418169.1)

Last updated on JUNE 17, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On - Version 10.1.4 to 10.1.4.3 [Release 10gR3]
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

Goal

This article is to describe how to configure Windows Native Authentication (WNA) for Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1) on Windows with Server Chaining Management

Important: Using Server Chaining Management
it is NOT necessary to configure synchronization between OID and AD
it is NOT necessary to configure AD external authentication plugins

Configuration is similar if Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1) is on Linux, with some differences related to path and environment variables, and to krb5.ini file, which on Linux should be krb5.conf and needs to be placed in /etc/krb5/krb5.conf (see article: 264666.1 Step II/1).
