Unable To Establish Connection To Web Cache From F5 Big IP Loadbalancer

This problem can occur on any platform.
Third-party hardware loadbalancer - F5 Big IP is unable to reach Oracle WebCache.
Oracle WebCache may become intermittently unreachable from browser, which can be confirmed by accessing the below URL from a browser:
The Big IP console shows Oracle WebCache as down and the following errors are seen in Oracle WebCache event_log:
[error 12417] [ecid: 95667433177,0] HTTP request-header parsing error - no header name. Client IP: <f5_IP_Address>
[error 12419] [ecid: 95667433177,0] Dump of offending HTTP request-header line: GET /
