This document describes how to read plain XML data which does not have a namespace defined and is stored in a database (CLOB type column). This data will be manipulated, the XML values will be extracted using standard XPath query functions in BPEL.
These are the steps that will be explained:
- Read the plain XML field without namspaces from the database
- Convert (transform) the unqualified XML to a qualified XML
- Assign one of the XML elements to a string variable
