ODI and Character Set Conversion on IBM AS/400 (iSeries) (Doc ID 423626.1)

Last updated on JUNE 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 to 10.1.3.6.9_01
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating a flat file with an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Integration Interface on Windows NT by extracting data from an DB2/400 Datastore, the resulting file contains incorrect characters.

For example, a curly bracket ("{") may be found in place of the expected "Ȩ" character.

Note that the DB2/400 Data Server defined in the ODI Topology Manager uses the "Hit JDBC driver for AS/400" to connect to the Database.
