Filters Defined In ODI (Sunopsis) Integration Interface Against Chinese (Or Other Multibyte Character) Data From Microsoft SQL Server Function Incorrectly (Doc ID 424195.1)

Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

It appears that there are some concerns with multibyte data processing on Microsoft SQL Server:

Examples:

Users can view and directly transfer Chinese (or other multibyte) data from Microsoft SQL Server in ODI(Sunopsis) but adding a Filter against the Chinese (or other multibyte) data in the Integration Interface appear to function incorrectly.

Note: this problem is uncommon in a single-language environment (when either Chinese or English is being used exclusively) and is only likely to occur in an environment where both languages are being used simultaneously.
