How To Force an ODI Session to Terminate with an In-Error Status (Doc ID 424240.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Package, when a step terminates with an in-error status, the subsequent "On Failure" step sends an email alert to an administrator.

As a result of the successful execution of the email, the session terminates with a successfully executed status code.

The Package (or Scenario) is launched with a LOG_LEVEL of 0 and, therefore, the session execution summary does not appear in ODI Operator and, as a result, it is impossible to detect that a problem has been signaled in this application.

How is it possible then for ODI to keep track of the execution summary in such a case?
