Reverse Engineering of XML files with the ODI XML Driver Appears to Malfunction (Doc ID 424310.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) XML Driver with an XML file, although the Data Server, Physical and Logical Schema appear to be correctly defined, when Reverse Engineering the associated Model, no errors are signaled and no Datastores appear in the Selective Reverse window.

This appears particularly strange in view of the fact that a DTD is automatically generated by the XML Driver indicating that the structure has been successfully analyzed.

What is the problem here?
