Symptoms

When creating an XML file with the ODI XML Driver, it is useful to be able to sort the relational schema, managed by the Driver before synchronizing the file to disk, in order that the XML Elements in the targeted file are set in a pre-defined order.

The documentation of the XML Driver describes a feature which creates additional columns (in the relational schema and which appear as attributes in the target XML file) called <tag_name>ORDER. These fields are for storing the appropriate numeric sorting keys and to allow the sort operation to function appropriately.

However, when setting these values to multiple values of 1 (1, 2 , 3, 4, ...), the sort operation does not function and the resulting XML Elements are not in the expected order.

Is there a problem with the XML Driver?
