Goal

This note describes how to clean up a failed Oracle Service Registry 10g installation. 

When an installation has failed and you cannot recover, it is recommended to clean up the installation and start the installer again once you have fixed the errors described in the installation.

Note: On installation, errors such as 'Java returned: 1' can sometimes indicate corrupted data on install, particularly after a few failed attempts.

However,you may not be able to fix this manually. At that point it is recommended you follow this document to clean up your OSR 10g installation and reinstall.
