During Second Node Installation "Unable to Validate Identity Management Realm for this Oracle Internet Directory" Error

Symptoms
During the second node installation as a remote master site (RMS) OID node, after submitting <OID_HOSTNAME> and <PORT> in "Specify Oracle Internet Directory Master Node" screen, an alert window pops up.
Alert message:
"Unable to validate Identity Management Realm for this Oracle Internet Directory. Please verify that the OID Server its database and listener are running, and you have entered the host name and non-ssl port number correctly, and there is a valid Identity Management Realm available."
Also, in 10.1.4 the replication Installer returns the following error prior to the above error:
Error in resolving Oracle context: cn=oraclecontext,<REALM> [LDAP: error code 32 - No such object].
