How To Configure Portal And SSO To Use The Same Name, Protocol and Port (Doc ID 443908.1)

Goal

This documents explains a way to configure the SSO Infrastructure tier server and the portal middle tier server to be accessed using the same protocol, name and port.

The configuration described in this note requires the Portal middle tier and the infrastructure (SSO/OIDDAS) tier to run the same Oracle Application Server Core version.

 

This configuration only requires one SSL certificate to be used.

If your system architecture requires a reverse proxy use <note 422359.1>.

The following configuration example uses secure protocol (https).
