Renaming the Author in a large amount of documents (Doc ID 450030.1)

Symptoms

Is it possible to make an update to rename the common author of multiple documents at the same time? Using the repository manager functionality we can filter documents by the Author name. I am able to update the author name for a single document by right clicking and selecting the update option. But looks like when I select all the documents authored by a single author and right click, the update option is disabled. Is there any other way, we can achieve this?
