This problem can occur on any platform.
Macintosh (Mac) clients are not always able to upload content to Content Server via the OS X-provided WebDAV functionality. Typically the clients can connect to the WebDAV URL, but upon attempt to upload content, the Mac client times-out (sometimes after several minutes).
