Synchronized User With Changed Name Unable To Login to Forms or DAS With SSO (Doc ID 451969.1)

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) is synchronized with Active Directory (AD) so that AD domain users can login to Single Sign-On (SSO).

Oracle Forms is using SSO for authentication.

Most users can login to Forms without any problems, but when a user's name is changed in AD that user is then unable to login to Forms.


     FRM- 92050: Failed to connect to the Server:/forms90/90servlet:-1 error

     Java Exception User does not have proper credentials configured in OID

The Forms application log at <midtier_home>/opmn/logs/ OC4J~OC4J_BI_Forms~default_island~1 logfile shows the following:

oracle.ldap.util.NoSuchUserException: Error encountered when resolving user - DN = cn=<original user name>,<ldap user base> [LDAP: error code 32 - No Such Object]

Login to DAS (/oiddas) also fails for the user with error 'Authentication failed'. The debug ssoServer.log shows:

Symptoms of problem

+ user could log into Forms successfully before the name change in AD
+ login to DAS as the same user also fails with 'Authentication Failed' error
+ restart of Forms Server does not resolve the issue
+ OID shows that the user DN has been successfully updated by synchronization
+ removing the user from OID and allowing synchronization to create it in OID again does not resolve the issue



Change of name in AD will normally require change of user entry DN in OID in synchronized environments, since OID bases the DN on the CN value. If the AD value mapped to the OID CN value changes in AD, a MODRDN operation must be performed in OID.
