ODI OdiSqlUnload Tool Loses Precision For Oracle DATE And TIMESTAMP Fields (Doc ID 454893.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 3.2.03.01 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While using the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) OdiSqlUnload Tool to unload an Oracle Table to a Flat File, the DATE Fields generated in the target File have lost their precision (Hour, Minutes and Seconds).

More precisely, "01/01/2010 15:30:12" is exported as "01/01/2010 00:00:00" in the Text File.

Note that:

  1. The appropriate -DATE_FORMAT parameter for OdiSqlUnload Tool has been used.

  2. The "oracle.jdbc.V8Compatible" JDBC property has been set on the Oracle Data Server definition.
