After applying Application Server Patch 10.1.2.2, Active Directory Synchronization with OID fails
Enabling DIP tracing as described in note <Docid 431344.1> shows the following error in the ActiveChgImp.trc profile trace file. For example:

The problem could occur for any synchronized entry and is not dedicated to group entries.
