Troubleshooting Error With The EXTERNAL_SEARCH_ENGINES group When Upgrading Portal (Doc ID 455851.1)

Purpose

 This article will give the possible scenarios when upgrading Portal Metadata Repository upgrade from:

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20000:
ORA-06512: at "PORTAL.WWPOF", line 440
ORA-06512: at line 358
ORA-20000:
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06512: at "PORTAL.WWSEC_API", line 658
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception

....
ERROR: Seeding EXTERNAL_SEARCH_ENGINES group.
ERROR: ORA-20000:
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06512: at "PORTAL.WWSEC_API", line 658
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception

The stack error is similar in most of the cases, however the hanlding exception could be different.
Please be sure to review carefully the upgrade.log file and determinate which one could be you case.
