"Error reading native data" When Processing CSV File With Empty Line From File Adapter (Doc ID 458482.1)

When using the file adapter to process an incoming comma separated values (CSV) file, which has an empty line at the end of the file, the following error is written to the domain.log file and the BPEL process fails:

Error while reading native data.
[Line=2, Col=1] Expected "," for the data starting at the specified position, wh
ile trying to read the data for "element with name C1", using "style" as "termin
ated" and "terminatedBy" as ",", but not found.
Ensure that ",", exists for the data starting at the specified position.

Steps To Reproduce

  • deploy a BPEL process which reads from a CSV file
  • place an input file into the incoming folder, which contains a blank (empty) line at the end of
    the file
