Symptoms

Trying to create a JDBC OCI connection from an Oracle Instant Client fails with the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/lib/oracle/10.1.0.2/client/instantclient10_1/libocijdbc10.so:
Can't load AMD 64-bit .so on a IA 32-bit platform
