PDF Subset Of Some Characters In Barcode Font Incorrect When Using Non Standard Character Set (Doc ID 462332.1)

Last updated on APRIL 24, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Reports Developer - Version 10.1.2.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using some TrueType barcode font and, for example, the character set EE8MSWIN1250, it is not possible to render properly in PDF subsetting the barcode symbol for some special characters. For example the character coded as chr(204) corresponds to a STOP in the barcode Interleave 2 of 5. But it is rendered as part of a rectangle instead of the proper barcode symbol. Other codes below 7F or even the START character coded as chr(203) is rendered fine.

When using WE8MSWIN1252 things go fine. Also when not subsetting in the PDF, and also in HTML.
