This problem can occur on any platform.

Using the barcode "X8800B" in a report displays correctly when ran on a Windows environment; however, when the same report is ran on UNIX, the barcode appears compressed.  The report is ran to PDF format in both environments.  Also, PDF font subsetting has been set up on UNIX, since barcode font is not installed on the UNIX system.

The barcode does display on one line; however, it appears compressed or squeezed.  The font takes up half of the space of the field when compared to the Windows output.  In the Windows environment, same report shows the barcode spread out more, almost double the size.   The scanner does not properly scan this compressed barcode output.

The font file name used is "x317349b.ttf".  In the UNIX PDF output, you can see that the font subsetting does take effect according to Document Properties-->Fonts.  So why is the barcode compressed on UNIX and not Windows?
