Local Users are Unable to Log into the Content Server with Active Directory Enabled (Doc ID 463453.1)

Symptoms

After enabling Active Directory authentication on your Content Server, local users are no longer able to log into the Content Server. You know for a fact that the user name and password that you are using are valid.  We see the error:

Content Server Authorization Failed
Unable to authenticate access to Content Server managed resource. User or password not valid in Microsoft Network.
