OracleAS WebCache Fails to Start - "Permission denied when setting group ID" (Doc ID 464198.1)

OracleAS 10g Web Cache fails to start. The $ORACLE_HOME/webcache/event_log shows the following errors:

..[notification 9612] [ecid: -] OracleAS Web Cache 10g (10.1.2), Build 050802
..[notification 9403] [ecid: -] Maximum number of file/socket descriptors set to 900.
..[notification 13002] [ecid: -] Maximum allowed incoming connections are 700
..[alert 9526] [ecid: -] Permission denied when setting group ID ( dba ).
..[alert 13003] [ecid: -] Configuration error. Stopping admin or cache server.
..[alert 9000] [ecid: -] Process 2352 exit(1) at 589:xmlcfglsnr.c [Build 050802]


The problem is most likely to be seen at OracleAS install time or if creating a clone of an existing OracleAS instance using the OracleAS 10g cloning functionality.
