Symptoms
Background:
Oracle Application Server IDM (Identity Management) 10.1.4 installed running SSO and OID services, and Oracle Application Server 10.1.2 HTTP Server (Apache 1.3) on another node.
Attempting to replicate a deployment described in the Oracle Identity Management 10.1.4 Enterprise Deployment Guide whereby an HTTP server is configured to act as an SSO front-end and directs single sign on requests to the SSO/OID servers using the AJP13 protocol.
The configuration works fine over AJP, but if it is configured over SSL ( i.e. AJPS ), the HTTP Server does not start.
The following error can be seen in the HTTP Server OPMN log file HTTP_Server~1:
